want to thank ALL my great and loyal customers who purchased orchids from me in the 2000s.
I had a pleasure getting to know some of you quite well, and
truly found joy in our shared passion - The Slipper Orchids.
I love hearing from you guys! Please continue to send me pictures of the seedlings you've bloomed out - I love seeing the fruits of my breeding efforts! In the years that have followed, I've gotten married, had two wonderful children, and relocated from Chicago, IL to Duluth, MN!
It's been years since I've offered any orchids for sale. With my recent work in another longstanding hobby of mine (the aquarium hobby), I've come to the realization that while hybrids are wonderful, I can all but guarantee I'll focus my future efforts pretty much on species. Conservation first and foremost. In late 2013, the last of my most treasured broodstock plants went to the greenhouse of my good friend Tyler Albrecht on the west coast; this includes a great wild-origin Paph. praestans "Emerson Charles" division I obtained from Alan Salzman years ago. I remember that plant had repotting dates going back decades to when a wild praestans would have been a legal plant to import! I hope one day, to see some of these plants, particularly the species, come back my way. All in good time.
Desktops - Somehow along the way, the downloadable desktops were deleted / lost and no one told me. Might have been 5 years now, but I discovered the issue today and have restore them!
GREX INFO - unfortunately I've pulled all the flask
listings from the catalog, so if you need GREX information
on any hybrid I produced, contact
me with the grex # (usually something like mwp-00001)
and I'm still happy to provide it! There's still a TON of
grexes out there unregistered..I look forward to seeing some
of those whacky crosses blooming out in the next couple years!
Sometime soon (keep in mind, "soon" usually means
MONTHS lately) I'll have a grex database online so you can
look 'em up!
Using the navigation menu at the left, you
will enjoy expansive Orchid Image Galleries, gain insight
& tips for the care of Paph. & Phrag. Orchids, If
all else fails, you can always search this website to find
just what you're looking for or contact
me for those special Paphs and Phrags!
Thanks for visiting and please check back
often as I will be continually updating and enhancing this
site. Best Wishes for fantastic blooms!
